I made this tank top for my darling daughter. It was super easy & quick to make. You can do it too! See how!!
I found the DIY instructions at www.makeit-loveit.com and used an old t-shirt for the fabric. I knew the scraps would come in handy! 🙂 With limited fabric, I decided to make a shirt instead of a dress like in the DIY instructions say:
1. Start with a old t-shirt of yours
2. Use your child’s dress/shirt as a template. Lay it on the fabric and trace around it, and 1 or 2 inches as a buffer. (Use the bottom of your shirt as the hem on the bottom of your child’s shirt)
3. Cut out the trace and make sure it’s even on both sides.
Make a dress for yourself or your little one.

Here is the back of the dress. I found those CUTE bows at our neighborhood Beauty Supply. The 5 Strand Braid was fun to make because I never made one before (3 Strand Braid also works). I love the detail it adds to the shirt.
